"We appeal to the public that while illuminating their homes with numerous Diyas (earthen lamps), they must also light one Diya for our brave hearts and those who are the victims of militancy in the state," state BJP president Sat Sharma said.
He was addressing a 'Diwali milan' at the party headquarters here at Trikuta Nagar.
Sharma said on the occasion of Diwali we should return to eternal path of love and brotherhood and take the pledge to weed out militancy and other evils from the society.
