In the economic resolution adopted on the second day of the two-day state executive meeting here, the party also said that it had been due to the "collective misrule" of the non-NDA parties Bihar was pushed to the bottom rung of indices like per capita income, literacy and poverty.
The state unit BJP patted the NDA government for economic turnaround of Bihar and said that the "ever growing growth rate in double digits" speaks volume of the tireless efforts of the state government to improve the state economy, the resolution said.
Facts like increase in per capita income to Rs 16,952 in 2011-12 as against Rs 8,706 in 2005-06 and the annual plan size of Rs 28,000 crore in 2012-13 against Rs 4376 crore in 2005-06 adequately showcased the performance of the NDA government since 2005-06, it said.
The state government formulated and implemented the agriculture road map in 2007 as a result of which foodgrain production has increased significantly and the state recorded paddy production of 67 million tonnes in 2011, the resolution said.
Besides, the state government implemented the Right to Service Act and the Lokayukta Act to bring transparency in public life and ensure redressal of people's grievances, it said.
