Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the ruling BJP is committed to eradicating corruption in Haryana and if any of its leader is found indulging in graft he would be removed from the party.
Addressing a gathering at Pataudi, near Gurugram, he asserted that no BJP leader would indulge in corruption, an official release said
Khattar said, "When Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office, he had clearly stated, 'Na Kahunga, Na Khane Dunga' (neither will I take bribe, nor will allow anyone to take bribe)".
He said the state has taken a number of steps to honour the commitment of the Prime Minister and as a result, people have now started saying that corruption has been eradicated at the top level, although it persisted to some extent at lower levels.
"In order to curb corruption at lower levels, we have abolished interviews for Group C and D posts because the Prime Minister says no interviewer, how much intelligent he may be, can judge the IQ level of a person in just five minutes," Khattar said.
The chief minister also inaugurated a newly-built 50- bedded civil hospital in Pataudi.
About Gurugram, Khattar said the entire world is looking at how the city is being developed.
"Its development has had a great impact on places in its outskirts like Pataudi," he said.
Referring to schemes like Swacch Haryana Swasth Haryana' and 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao', the Chief Minister said these have changedthe mindset of the people.
Referring to the demands by Pataudi MLA Bimla Choudhary, Khattar announced construction of a 50-bedded hospital in Farukhnagar and said the state government has planned to open a medical college in Gurugram.
