Terming the incident as a "blow to the democracy in the state", Chugh in a statement here added that the episode has raised serious questions about the law and order situation.
He noted that the party would not compromise on either the respect or the security of its cadres in Punjab.
The BJP leader urged Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to book the accused and dismiss Tarn Taran SSP Manmohan Sharma and SHO Nirmal Singh for inaction.
BJP will definitely act against such officers who were playing a partisan role under the orders of some leaders, he said.
