The incident occurred when 15 newly appointed chairmen of various committees had assumed their charges in the RMC.
Jayshreeben Dodiya allegedly pinched Anil Rathod, who "disliked" Dodiya's "behaviour" and allegedly slapped her more than once.
Dodiya said Rathod called her a member of a "dissident group" and when she clarified her stand, Rathod allegedly slapped her.
"Rathod has been torturing me on various issues since last four years and today he slapped me," Dodiya alleged, adding that she would inform the state BJP leadership about the incident.
"I did not like her behaviour and warned her not to talk in that manner after which we were engaged in heated arguments," Rathod said.
However, senior BJP leaders of the city unit kept a distance from the issue.
