BJP disrupts Shiv Sena's anti-meat ban protest meeting

A protest meeting called by Owla-Majiwada Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik to protest against the meat ban, was disrupted by BJP activists in Bhayander last night, party sources said here today.
The BJP activists demonstrated outside the venue where the meeting was held.
In a related development, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists took to the streets and roasted chicken outside a hall in Thane where members of the Jain community had assembled for an event.
A mob of around 50 people, including men and women, greeted members of the Jain community coming out of the hall with slogans.
MNS city vice president Ravi More, Mahesh Kadam, Raju Bagve, Ashish Doke as well as MNS women party workers were among those present during the protest.
