Accusing the BJP government in the state of having failed on all fronts, senior Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Uttam today appealed to people to vote for his party candidate Pravin Nishad in the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha bye-elections.
He also accused Adityanath of speaking of development as the firebrand Hindutva leader was occupying a constitutional position.
"BJP government has failed on all fronts as inflation is rising, there is huge unemployment and high crime rate. They have not fulfilled promises. Black money has not returned to India. People like Nirav Modi went away with thousands of crores of peoples' money deposited in the bank and still the government is claiming that the country and state is progressing," Uttam said.
Asked to comment on "borrowed" candidate Pravin Nishad, who is the son of NISHAD party chief Sanjay Kumar Nishad, Uttam said the candidate had taken SP membership.
"He is not borrowed from any other party. After viewing the massive support of people in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, I can say that SP will win both the Lok Sabha seats," Uttam
Referring to UP Chief Minister Adityanath's speeches, Uttam said, "We have not forgotten sharp communal speeches of Yogi Adityanath, and now he speaks of development. Actually it is his helplessness to speak of development after sitting on a constitutional seat.
