"The BJP has always put the nation first," BJP state unit spokesman Pradip Sinha said while welcoming the Prime Minister's speech in Parliament.
Sinha said the PM's speech should put to rest the attempts by some section of people misguiding citizens that the BJP "do not abide by the Constitution,"
"BJP puts the country at the top, not any individual," Sinha added.
Praising Modi's assertion that 'India first' is the only religion and Constitution is its only scripture, former state party secretary Prem Kataruka said it was the first time that any government initiated a debate on the Constitution.
