BJP has done nothing except making speeches: Hooda

Terming the three years of the BJP led government at the Centre as extremely disappointing, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today that the country's economy has suffered during this period.
"The BJP has done nothing in the last three years except for making speeches. It has not been able to arrest the steady decline in the country's economy which has hit an all time low," Hooda, a senior Congress leader, said at a press conference here.
The GDP between January-March this year has dropped to 6.1 per cent which is one per cent lower than last fiscal, he said.

Similarly, the Gross Value Added of industries (GVA) which is the most dependable yardstick for measuring growth has fallen from 10.7 in March 2016 to 3.8 per cent in March this year, he said.
In February 2016, the Index of Industrial production was growing at the rate of 5.3 per cent which dropped to 1.9 per cent in March 2017, he said.
The investment rate in the country currently is the lowest in fourteen years, he claimed.
Attributing the country's economic decline to demonetisation, he said the BJP's three years in power at the Centre have been extremely disappointing.
