BJP MLC Smita Wagh today said the law and order situation in Amalner tehsil of Jalgaon was deteriorating, and local police were hand in gloves with goons.
"Recently, a petrol pump owner was murdered in Amalner tehsil. Just two months ago, a man was murdered in cold blood. We have time and again raising the issue of deteriorating law and order with police but they are not ready to listen to us," Wagh told reporters.
"I am going to meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over this issue next week," she said.
Local police were hand in gloves with the goons and illicit activities were being supported for vested interests, she alleged.
"Illicit sale of liquor and other illegal businesses are going on. We approached police many times but no action was taken," she said.
