BJP MP in LS demands ban on cow slaughter

A BJP member today demanded in Lok Sabha a ban on cow slaughter, shutting down of slaughter houses and imprisonment of those killing the cattles.
Hukum Singh, member from Uttar Pradesh, raised the issue during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha.
"This is a matter of great pain that cow slaughter is taking place. If milching animal are slaughtered like this, a time will come when we will have only adulterated milk for human consumption," Singh said.
"We need to ban slaughter of animals... Such people who slaughter cattles should be jailed ," he said.
Singh said the younger generation would be deprived of wholesome food if the milching animals are slaughtered.
