Peeved about the clean chit reportedly given by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to Youth Congress workers in the BJP office attack case, the saffron outfit has decided to launch "anti state-sponsored goondaism fortnight".
"We demand arrest of the Youth Congress workers who, led by their state president Vikramaditya Singh, attacked the BJP office and dismissal of the government," Himachal Pradesh BJP general secretary Randhir Sharma said.
"We submitted memorandums to the Governor and deputy commissioner but no action has been taken so far," he said, alleging that the government was protecting the culprits.
He said BJP workers would hold rallies, demonstrations and dharnas across the state over the next fifteen days to press for acceptance of the demands, expose the government and seek its dismissal.
Sharma said the law and order situation has deteriorated and developmental activities have come to a halt in the state as the government is pursuing its sole agenda of victimising and harassing political opponents and frame them in false cases.
He said instead of resigning on moral grounds, the chief minister and Vikramaditya Singh "are defending the culprits".
