The former mayor of the city alleged that nearly one lakh cows have died in the last 10 years and maximum deaths occurred when Ashok Parnami, the current state BJP chief, was the mayor.
However, BJP accused Congress and Khandelwal of misleading people on the issue.
BJP Mahila Morcha spokesperson Nimisha Gaur said, "What the former mayor has alleged is beyond facts. She is misleading people on the issue just for political gain.
