"BJP and the Shiv Sena have formed organisations which are fomenting communalism in the country even as the UPA government is implementing various welfare schemes for the poor," he told an election meeting on the last day of campaigning for the June 12 bypoll to Maheshwar assembly constituency.

The bye-election was necessitated after BJP MLA Vijay Lakshmi Sadhu was elected to Rajya Sabha. BJP's Rajkumar and Congress' Devendra Sadhu are in the fray for the seat.

Madhya Pradesh state unit Congress president Kantilal Bhuria and Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh accompanied Pilot during his whirlwind electioneering in Khargone district.
