According to sources, Ministers of Education and Culture at the Centre and states ruled by BJP will participate in the two-day convention organised on September 6 and 7 and to be inaugurated by party president Amit Shah.
The initiative comes close on the heels of government starting a move to restructure some cultural institutions.
The meeting would see issues pertaining to education being taken up on the first day with Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani making a detailed presentation on the initiatives being taken by her ministry.
"This is a routine practice as the party has been discussing issues pertaining to good governance and other key issues from time to time. The two-day convention of BJP State Education and Culture Ministers would be held on September 6 and 7, to help improve the performance of these ministries and replicate success stories," BJP national vice president Vinay Vinay Sahasrabuddhe told PTI.
With the new education policy being brought by government, inputs from states will be sought during the two-day interactive meeting, which will also see participation from RSS affiliate organisations working in the fields of education and culture.
With BJP celebrating the centenary of Deendayal Upadhyaya in a big way next year, it may also come up during the deliberations as also proposed celebrations for the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019.
