"The alliance of Congress and CPI(M) has disturbed the poll arithmetic of TMC in Bengal. They are jittery and are apprehensive about the outcome of the polls since they know very well that an united opposition will defeat the TMC in Bengal," he said.
He alleged that in order to save her party from corruption cases from "Saradha to Narada, they have taken shelter in the BJP camp". The state Congress president was referring, respectively, to the chit fund scam and a recent sting operation showing TMC leaders purportedly accepting bribes or promising favours in exchange for stake in a fictitious firm.
