Country singer Blake Shelton has been deemed a "hero" by a bunch of men who were stranded at Washita River in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
The 39-year-old "The Voice" coach rescued them while driving his truck on his way to Oklahoma late last week, reported Ace Showbiz.
Bryar Blanton, Lenyell Blanton, Josh Turner and Adrian Poplin were in distress when two of them got stuck in a mud hole for about two hours.
Blanton and Poplin started walking to find help. Shelton happened to be on scene and stopped to ask whether they needed some assistance.
"Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies accidentally slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours," Blanton said.
"Me and Adrian started walking down the road looking for help and that's when Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck."
Shelton worked fast by trying to pull the guys out with his truck, but it did not work. The country singer then said he would be back in 15 minutes to get his tractor. "He said he'd be back in 15 minutes with his tractor. He came back and got us out and chatted for a minute and talked to us about hunting," Blanton said.
"Blake is an all around good caring guy. If it wasn't for Blake, I would have been out there for countless hours. And yeah I would say he is a hero," Blanton added.
