Blast in abandoned canteen, four bombs recovered

The police today recovered four crude bombs from an abandoned canteen after a blast occurred there at a colliery in Burdwan district today.
However, there was no report of any casualty or injury, the police said.
The abandoned canteen was inside Sripur colliery beside a school in Jamuria under Asansol police station, the police said.
The blast took place shortly after 10.30 AM when the school was open.
Local people informed the police and four bombs were found in the canteen, the police said adding how the explosion occurred is being investigated.
