Boat sinks; four fishermen rescued

A boat with four fishermen sank in the Vadakku sea off this coast but they were rescued by their counterparts fishing in the area, officials said today.
The fishermen, found struggling about 20 nautical miles from Mandapam around mid-night yesterday, were rescued by their colleagues and brought to Dhanushkodi this morning, they said.
The cost of the boat which sank was Rs 20 lakh, Ravichandran, assistant director of fisheries, said.
