Body found hanging from tree, murder suspected

The body of a 55-year-old resident of Hardoi was found hanging from a tree in Raj Nagar Extension area this morning, with police suspecting that he was murdered before being hanged.
A passerby found the body hanging from a tree and informed police, who went to the spot and recovered it.
The body was later identified as that of Ram Fere, a resident of Hardoi.
Police have recovered a suicide note, which states that his employer was not responsible for his death.
"There is no signature of Ram Fare on the suicide note, which indicates that somebody has written this note before killing him. However, police are investigating the case from all angles," a police officer said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, the officer said, adding "we are awaiting his postmortem report to ascertain the cause of the death".
