The body of a 26-year-old man, who was missing for nearly a fortnight, was found on the Dhalku-Rachan Road, with the police suspecting that he was hit with stones.
Vinod Kumar's body, which was found yesterday, had injury marks and multiple abrasions, Shimla Superintendent of Police Omapati Jamwal told PTI.
Prima facie it appeared that he was hit with stones, he said today.
A forensic team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Junga also inspected the crime spot.
The deceased was a resident of Sampal village in Anni tehsil of Kullu district.
A case was registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against unknown person(s), Jamwal added.
