"The police recovered the body from a house under construction near her home at Darjie Mohallah in Doranda police station," Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh told reporters here.
"The body has been sent for post mortem and only after the report came it could be ascertained on the allegations of rape and murder, Singh said.
The family, which claimed that the police had been reported two days earlier, soon after the girl went missing, alleged in the public that the girl was murdered after sexual assault.
