The body of an auto driver was found inside a water tank in the Neb Saray area of the city, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Dipak (21), was missing since Monday from the Sangam Vihar area and a police complaint was lodged in this regard, an official said.
"His family members have alleged that he was murdered but the exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy report is received," the officer said.
The body was recovered from the tank yesterday and bore no external injury marks, he said.
A few suspects were picked up for questioning and investigation was underway, he added.
