The body of an unidentified man was found under mysterious circumstances near a private school between Phagwara and Goraya alongside the National Highway-1 on Friday, the police said.
The police estimate the man to be aged between 30 and 35.
Industrial area police post in-charge Inspector Manjit Singh said the body will be kept in mortuary of civil hospital for 72 hours for identification.
He said the matter is being probed and the cause of the death will be ascertained only after post-mortem.
