Bomb explodes injuring seven persons in Manipur

Seven persons, including four police personnel, were injured when a bomb exploded at Manipur main market complex here last evening, police said.
A team of from nearby city police office went to Samu Makhong area in the market complex after receiving reports that a bomb had been planted in the market.
They found a bag containing a bomb-like object there and when a constable tried to hurl it in the adjoining Nambul river it exploded injuring four police personnel and three civilians, the police said.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
