The explosion damaged parts of a house at around 10.30 PM last night, police said, adding the bomb was hurled at the house where a non-Manipuri trader was staying.
The incident occurred barely 24 hours after a powerful bomb explosion in Thoubal district on Wednesday night in which a non-Manipuri labourer was killed and six others injured.
Security measures have been tightened particularly in Imphal east and Imphal west districts in view of series of bomb explosions in the past two weeks.
