PI Anil Kadam of Kashimira Police station told PTI that the incident occured on May 21, when the duo--Manikant Nilesh Thakur and Anil Shende--came to the house of the victim and took him away on a bike.
According to the complaint by the victim's mother the duo suspected that the boy had stolen their mobile.
The police have registered an offence under sections 363, 323 rw 34 of the IPC and investigations were still on.
The family of the boy lodged a complaint after they failed to trace the boy for two days.
