Amit, son of Police Inspector Tikaram Verma, committed suicide yesterday by hanging from ceiling fan in his room and slitting his wrist with blade, SP (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.
The family members told police that Amit, a class XI student, was playing music on high volume in his room but when he did not open door for some time they went in and found him hanging and blood pouring out of his wrist, he said.
Police is suspecting it to be a case of love affair.
The laptop has been sent for forensic investigation, he said, adding, that the reasons behind his extreme step could be ascertained once the forensic report comes.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is underway in the case, the SP said.
