The two boys, aged 13 years and studying in class VIII at the Zilla Parishad High School in Penumaka village of Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district, had a dispute yesterday over sharing space on a bench on which they were sitting in the classroom.
An initial verbal duel turned into an altercation with both exchanging blows. During the fight, Gujjula Chandra Sekhara Reddi, who was at the receiving end, fell unconscious.
A case of culpable homicide under section 304 of IPC has been registered against the accused minor boy, police said, adding that a search has been launched to nab him.
