Boy dies, mother survives after fall into well in Erode

A 7-year-old boy and his mother accidentally slipped and fell into a well in their garden at Gobichettipalayam in the district, police said today.

On hearing the cries of the boy Niboth, and his mother Ambika (35), last evening, people in the vicinity came to the spot and rescued them.

However, the boy died in the hospital, they said adding the mother is undergoing treatment.
