instance of man-animal clash, a 13-year-old boy was injured as a rogue wild boar on rampage attacked him Kalupada in village under Rajnagar area of Odisha's Kendrapara district.
The boy was identified as Bibhuti Biswal of Kalupada village near Bhitarkanika wildlife sanctuary. He was admitted in Rajnagar CHC after the incident yesterday and is out of danger. Forest department bore the cost of treatment, said a forest official.
The animal, which was captured and later released in the wild, had strayed into village area to eat standing crops, said Divisional Forest Officer, Rajnagar Mangrove (wildlife) Forest Division, Bimal Prasanna Acharya.
