An eight-year-old boy was today run
over by a Delhi-Jaipur train at Bawal station, about 14 km from here, police said.
The boy, Badal, and his elder brother Raju (12) had gone to fetch water from a temple at the Bawal station when the mishap occurred, they said, adding that Raju had a narrow escape.
Their father Sohan Lal, who worked as a labourer in the grain market at Bawal and lived in a rented accommodation there, had sent his sons to fetch water for them as there was no water in their hut, police said.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) handed over the body to the parents after the post mortem examination.
