Brewery brand Kingfisher associates with FC Goa

The FC Goa team, one of the teams in the Indian Super League football tournament, announced its association with brewery brand Kingfisher at a press conference held recently to launch the team's new football jerseys.
Akshay Tandon, one of the owners of the team, said,"The commercial appeal of Indian football is growing every year. We are happy to partner with a vibrant brand like Kingfisher which embodies the spirit of Goa," he said.
Gurpreet Singh, Assistant Vice President, Marketing, United Breweries Limited added, "Goa has had a proud footballing heritage and the sport unites Goans like no other. We are proud to be associated with FC Goa which is one of the top franchises in the Indian Super League."

The team is currently at third position in the fourth edition of the ISL currently underway.
The Goan Football Club Private Limited, which oversees FC Goa, is owned by businessmen Jaydev Mody, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Ashish Kapadia, Akshay Tandon and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli.
