Actress Natasha Bassett will star as Spears in the two-hour movie, entitled "Britney" based on the 34-year-old "Make Me" hitmaker's real life incidents, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
TV network Lifetime made the announcement about the biopic.
According to the cable network film will also document Spears' 55-hour marriage to Jason Alexander and her relationship with Kevin Federline, with whom she has two children.
"Britney" will be produced by Asylum Entertainment. Anne-Marie Hess will pen down the script, whereas Leslie Libman will helm the biopic.
