Two brothers were Thursday sentenced to undergo life imprisonment and fined Rs 6,000 each by a district court here for murdering their business associate here five years ago.
The 4th Additional District Court judge J Sreedevi pronounced the verdict.
Thangamani and Ramachandran, both brothers, and Vanniaraj were doing iron scrap business near here.
The murder was a fallout of an illicit affair that Vanniaraj had with Thangamani's wife Shanugakani.
So, the brothers killed Vanniaraj by strangulation in August 2013.
Following this, Thangamani and Ramachandran were arrested and the trial was on in the 4th Additional District Court.
