"Advised by Delhi government, BRPL has suspended power to the residents in low-lying areas along the river bed. Electricity has been suspended in areas, like Vishkarma Colony, Jaitpur, Dhobi Ghat, Near Masjid Khallilullah Batla House, till further notice," a spokesperson of the discom said.
Yamuna has been flowing above the danger mark of 204.83 metres since yesterday and flooded low-lying areas along the river bed.
BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) nodal officers were monitoring the situation round the clock. They are in touch with the concerned agencies including the Flood Control District Administration Office, he added.
The river flows through eight divisions in BYPL operational areas.
