Bruno Mars, Keith Urban win max top honours at AMAs

Bruno Mars bagged seven big honours at the 2017 American Music Awards, closely followed by country singer Keith Urban, who took home three three awards from the ceremony.
Mars was adjudged as the Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist - Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist - Soul/R&B, with "That's What I Like" recognised as Favorite Song - Soul/R&B and Video of the Year '24K Magic' as Favorite Album - Soul/R&B and Pop/Rock, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The singer took to Twitter to thank his fans for their love and support, "Wow! Thank you everyone at AMAs so much. I love you Hooligans! This is all because of you. And we've only just begun.
"OH SHIT! 7 AMAs LETS GO! THIS SHIT'S INCREDIBLE! They asked for one video they didn't tell me I was gonna get 7! What?"
Urban won the trophies for Favorite Male Artist - Country, Favorite Album - Country for 'Ripcord' and Favorite Song - Country - "Blue A'int Your Color".
He thanked his fans in a video on social media, where he was accompanied by his wife Hollywood star Nicole Kidman.
Urban said, "We want to thank all of you watching and voting for these three honours. It's indescribable. I can't thank you enough..."
The night began with an homage to the first responders and those who helped the country, which was faced disasters ranging from - from floods and hurricanes to mass shootings.
Blockbuster hit "Despacito", featuring Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, took home the award for Favourite Song Pop/Rock and Collaboration of the Year.
Drake won Favorite Artist - Rap/Hip-Hop, while Favorite Album - Rap/Hip-Hop went to Kendrick Lamar for 'Damn'.
Beyonce won the trophy for the Favorite Female Artist - Soul/R&B and Lady Gaga shone in the category of Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock.
Christina Aguilera paid her tributes to music icon Whitney Houston on the 25th anniversary of her first featured film "The Bodyguard" at AMAs.
The AMAs air in India on Vh1.
