BSE elects Sumit Bose to its board

Top bourse BSE today said it has appointed Sumit Bose as a member on the board of directors.
BSE had received the approval from Sebi on May 19, to nominate Sumit Bose, a new member on its Governing Board as a Public Interest Director.
"The board has approved the appointment of Sumit Bose with effect from May 19, 2016," BSE said in a statement.
Bose is a 1976 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer and has served as a secretary in various departments of the Madhya Pradesh government.
He has served as a secretary (expenditure), Government of India from May 2011 to August 2012.
Bose is currently on the Fiscal responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) committee of the government.
