A joint initiative of BRPL (BSES Rajdhani) and Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), the drive organised at the Saket District Court premises settled a total of 2,135 cases with corresponding monetary value of over Rs 20 crore.
The discom offered on-the-spot settlement for its customers in both Direct Theft and Meter Tampering cases, besides taking up cases where the customers had already moved the Court.
"For the customers, it meant an opportunity to amicably settle their cases and an escape from a prolonged and an expensive legal process. For an over worked judiciary, it meant some burden off their Courts," a BSES spokesperson said.
