BSF jawan arrested for stealing gold rings

A BSF jawan has been arrested for allegedly stealing two gold finger rings from a jewellery shop in Assam's Silchar town, police said today.
The jawan was arrested from his village in Uttar Pradesh and brought to Silchar yesterday, police said.
He was produced at the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court today and remanded to judicial custody, they said.
