BTech student hangs self

A second year BTech student
allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his rented accomodation in Partapur area here today, police said.
According to police spokesperson, the deceased Ajay was a student of MIT Meerut. He had rented a room here.
As Ajay did not come out of his room this afternoon, the landlord informed the police following which he was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room, the spokesperson said.
The reason why the student took the extreme step is not known yet, police said, adding, the body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is on.
