Budget publications in bag or pen drive? Panel tenure extended

Maharashtra Government today extended the tenure of a committee, set up to study the feasibility of providing state budget publications in 'soft' format instead of the traditional manner of giving them to legislators and others in bags.
The committee was assigned the task of studying if the budget publications, normally given to legislators and others in bags during the state legislature budget sessions, could be distributed through electronic format like website or via tablet PC or pen drive, a Government Resolution issued here today said.
The tenure of the panel had ended in December last year and was given an extension till July this year. The tenure has now been further extended till December this year, the GR said.
