At least one person was killed and four others injured when a five-storey building collapsed on them in Egypt's northeast Dakahlia governorate.
Following the incident, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the spot and were searching for possible survivors trapped under the debris, medical sources said, adding that the injured include a child.
The cause behind yesterday's collapse was being ascertained.
Incidents of building collapse are said to be common in Egypt due to illegal extensions and failure to adopt proper construction guidelines.
Last year, 19 people were killed and eight others injured when an eight-storey building collapsed in country's Matariya district apparently due to illegal construction.
