A bullet riddled body of a former militant was found Sunday morning at Lokchao area in Manipur's Churachandpur district, a senior police officer said.
Superintendent of Police of Churachandpur, K Kabib said the deceased person was a former cadre of proscribed militant outfit United Socialist Revolutionary Army (USRA).
The police suspect that he was killed by another militant group, the SP said.
A case has been registered at Churachandpur police station for further investigation, the SP added.
