Burning cigarette thrown on school girl, 4 arrested

Four persons were arrested today for allegedly throwing a burning cigarette on a school girl from their SUV in Hazratganj area here.
Madhuvendra Singh, Kuldeep, Shailendra and Arvind were arrested soon after the incident near Bandariya Bagh crossing, police said.
The incident took place this afternoon when the girl was returning home from a reputed convent school and one of the accused on SUV threw a burning cigarette on her.
The four have been booked under IPC 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 7 Criminal Law amendment act and other sections, a police spokesman said here.

Section 420 of IPC was also slapped on them for using Press sticker on their vehicle, he said.
The accused, however, denied their involvement in the incident.
