Bus mishap kills 10 in western Nepal
Press Trust of India Kathmandu At least ten passengers were killed when a bus fell off a bridge and plunged into a river in western Nepal this evening.
The bus heading towards Mungling from Pokhara lost control while trying to avoid hitting children walking on the bridge and slammed into the iron railing and fell into the Madi river near Damauli in Tahanun district, police said.
Ten passengers have been rescued alive.
There were more than 30 passengers in the bus.
Police, army personnel and locals were mobilised to carry out rescue work.
