The protestors disrupted the traffic on the road for over five hours causing inconvenience to the commuters.
The incident occurred at 7 am when Rupesh, a class VI student, was waiting at an intersection to cross the road on his way to school, police said.
The boy was run over by the bus following which its driver fled the spot, leaving the vehicle behind, ACP (PRO) Hawa Singh said, adding the bus has been impounded.
They also disrupted the vehicular movement on the Gurgaon-Pataudi road for over five hours by keeping the body of the minor on it.
The movement could only be resumed after senior police officers assured of arresting the accused driver, Singh said.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the accused driver, he said, adding that a manhunt is on to nab him.
