Businessman killed in Odisha's Ganjam district

A 34-year-old businessman was allegedly killed at Padmapur village in Ganjam district, about 100-km from here today, police said.
Chandra Kumar Nayak was killed by the sharp weapons by unknown persons while he was returning from Badagada bazaar to his village. Police recovered his body in the pool of blood from the main road of the village and sent it for post-mortem.
Previous enmity was suspected to be cause of the murder, police said after preliminary inquiry. At least nine accused persons, including five brothers of a family in the same village, were allegedly involved in the murder. "We have arrested three accused persons-three brothers. Other accused persons however were absconding," police said.
The arrested accused persons identified as Sarat Behera, Sushant Behera and Basanta Behera - the three brothers, police said.
