By-election to Ghoda Dongri in MP on May 16

By-election to Ghoda Dongri Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district will be held on May 16, Election Commission announced today.
As per the schedule of EC, the filing of nomination papers will take place from April 22 to April 29. Scrutiny of papers will be carried out on April 30 and candidates can withdraw their nominations before May 2.
Counting of votes will take place on May 19, an EC official said.
The by-poll for the seat was necessitated after sitting BJP member Sajjan Singh Uikey passed away due to prolonged illness on March 19.
