"There has been arapid progress in industrial sector during the past 10 years in the state. Several memoranda of understanding (MoU) had been signed with national as well as global companies. The establishment of the nation's first Commercial Court and Commercial Dispute Resolution Center will help the investors and business world," Chief Minister Raman Singh said during the inauguration of the center.
The center will facilitate speedy disposal of commercial disputes, he added.
Video-conferencing, e-court, e-library, e-filing and e-summons are some of the ultra-modern facilities available on the premises.
He also said information and communication technology are being used for the welfare of common citizens in the state.
All the gram panchayats will be up-linked to broadband connectivity in the next two years. The users will be provided with 36 state government services online in the initial phase while the facility will be upgraded up in due course of time, the Chief Minister added.
Singh expressed gratitude towards the Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Deepak Gupta, who was present on the occasion, and associate Justices in setting up of the Court.
Commercial disputes can be redressed as early as possible with the help of judiciary, the judge said, adding the Commercial Court will help in improving the judicial system.
Justice Gupta informed that keeping in view the growth of industries in the state, efforts are being made to establish commercial courts at the district-level.
Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Naveen Sinha, state Industry Minister Amar Agrawal, Law Minister Mahesh Gagda and senior officials were present on the occasion.
